Ayia Napa is a town that offers unbelievable amounts of activities for the many, varied communities that visit. But how will you choose how to spend your time, and what are the best, tried and tested, things to do for the ultimate chilled out experience. With over 20 year’s experience in Ayia Napa, and the surrounding towns, we wanted to give you an insight to our choice of the best chill out day in Ayia Napa. What to do and where to go to enjoy the best day out in Ayia Napa.

Breakfast

As one of the longest standing and most regarded eateries in Ayia Napa, Gary’s Bar and Grill is the go to for the ultimate breakfast. For loading up on carbs to give you the energy for your day, there is no better. The majority of the breakfast food is based around the traditional English breakfast but they have excellent veggie options too. The offerings are plentiful and at great value. The team here are also a whole bunch of fun, they will definitely pitch in to things they love to do on the island and where they would recommend.

Find Gary’s on Nissi Avenue, in between the Freij and Margherita Hotels. Check out their menu here.

Mopeds

Take a walk from Gary’s towards the main town and opposite Anthea apartments you will find Team Moto. The owner here is Xantos and is a long-time friend of the Square Bar. He will ensure to give you the best rates and options for mopeds, quads and ATVs.

Once you are kitted out, head towards Cape Greko via the Cavo Greko Road. You will be able to see the Ayia Napa Caves, Cape Greko, the Blue Lagoon, the Love Bridge and the beautiful Ayioi Anargiroi Church, all within close proximity.

A few kilometres up the road and you will find Konnos Bay. On the road, down to the beach there is a lovely café which does fantastic Cypriot coffee and cold drinks. It is one of the most picturesque beaches you could hope for and definitely worth a dip. Be careful on the descent when using mopeds as it is a tight lane and may well have cars coming up and down. It is not a far walk down and is often the safer option.

Lunch, Meze – Firehouse

Head back into town and towards the Ayia Napa Harbour. On the water’s edge, you will find the Firehouse Grill & Seafood restaurant. It is one of Ayia Napa’s best restaurants and specialises in Seafood, International and Grilled food.

Cyprus is known for its Meze. A Meze is literally a tasting dish. However, the Cypriots do it in style. You will get to try nearly the entire menu, in small, numerous portions. There is no better way to get a flavour of the full island’s food offerings in one sitting. You can normally choose between a seafood meze and a meat meze. However, a chat to the waiter could allow it to be customised to your taste.

The Firehouse restaurants boasts some of the most amazing costal views on Ayia Napa and gives a plentiful, panoramic, outdoor seating area to complement its awesome food. It is also great for kids.

Square Bar

The best bar in Ayia Napa is to give your night the end to your chilled-out day. They offer live music from 8:30 pm til late. This starts with acoustic duos and progresses to full bands, to get you on your feet and dancing. Kids are welcome at the beginning of the night. They have a full bar for the adults, comprised of international and local beverages. They have a great range of food and plenty for the kids.

But let’s be honest. It’s about the music here. Finish off your night by belting out numbers from the last four decades, performed live in front of your eyes.

And relax…

Hopefully, you have had a full day. If you have completed all of the above, you will feel, for sure, pooped. Time to head off to bed and prep for the next day.
